Being a pharmacist; we are bound by code of conduct and strict regulations to meet the professional standards. Sometimes few people know that the profession requires one to uphold the standards similar to the medical profession. The license issued to pharmacists holds great responsibility to ensure professionalism. Pharmacists like to help and assist people when they require some support and assist them to attain wellness and quality of life.

The teaching of pharmacy modules in AMU, has many approaches to fulfill the requirements of the Malaysian Pharmacy Board (MPB) and also Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA).Pharmacists need to be a 7-star pharmacist, the traits that is recognized by WHO.

Pharmacists must be able to do various roles. A pharmacist must be someone, who people will look up to for their health advice, live up to one of the top ten trusted professionals in the world. Students with the following entry qualifications are required to meet certain SPM pre-requisites:

The SPM pre-requisites are as follows: A pass in SPM / O Level or equivalent with 5Bs each in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics / Additional Mathematics and another subject. Malaysian students are required to attain a credit in Bahasa Melayu and English. The minimum entry requirements may be subject to changes to meet the requirements of the Malaysian Pharmacy Board

English Requirement:

The statutory requirement of competency in English (Band score of 3 in MUET or its equivalent) to be completed within 4 years of the undergraduate programme
